Hello! Welcome to Wild About Books Wednesday! If you're new around here, on the first and third Wednesday of every month I pop in to blog about how to use a specific book to enhance speech and/or language skills! Books are a springboard for language and I use them in my therapy ALL the time! I adore books and hope to share my love for reading with all of my students!
St. Patrick's Day is right around the corner, so I thought I'd help you get a head start on some planning! Today, I'm talking about The Night Before St. Patrick's Day by Natasha Wing. I adore this little book series and just recently read The Night Before Valentine's Day just last week!
There are many ways you can use this little book:
1) You can target phonological awareness skills by working on rhyming. Students can identify the words that rhyme on each page.
2) WH Questions - I created another little "A Dab of Comprehension" page that you can print out to accompany this book!
HERE. I hope these sheets will be useful for you and fun for your students!
If you're looking for more St. Patricks' Day materials, you can find some in my TPT store by clicking HERE. I have a few more resources that are scheduled to be released next week too! So keep your eye out! I typically offer all new materials for 40-50% off for the first 48 hours.
I hope you have a wonderful Wild About Books Wednesday! Thank you for visiting!
