Clark the Shark by Bruce Hale
Clark is such an enduring shark! He reminds me of so many of my past students! haha! He's too loud, too rough, and too wild. He loves school and doesn't realize that he's annoying his classmates. He goes to Mrs. Inkydink and she teaches him how to "stay cool." It's a precious story! It's a great picture book to use with social skills groups and is great for back to school season!
Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse by Kevin Henkes
This is another great book for back to school! Lilly brings her shiny new purple plastic purse to school and of course it's a major distraction! It's a great introduction to school expectations and respect. Plus, Lilly is everything. haha!
Snowmen All Year by Caralyn Buehner
I'm a huge fan of the snowmen series by Caralyn and Mark Buehner! A snowman book is unexpected in the summer, which makes this such a perfect book for the end of the school year or during summer school! A child imagines what he would do if his snowman could stay with him all year long! So fun!
The Pirate Jamboree by Mark Teague
This is a fun book for summer, during Talk Like a Pirate Week in September, or year round! A young boy imagines that he's a pirate and the neighborhood kids join him on his pirate ship! It's all fun and games until his mom yells for him to clean his room! This book is great for rhyming and describing!
I love using literature flip books to work on story grammar, comprehension, sequencing, and more! Each flip book addresses a variety of language goals. These are also great for push-in therapy and co-teaching!
If you're a classroom teacher these are perfect for Friday treats, literacy centers, whole group read alouds, partner activities, and more!
These flip books can also be found in a year long bundle! You can snag 52 different flip books and 52 different booklets for 50% off!
Thank you for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!
