Five For Friday! (June 20th)

This has been my first official week of summer vacation (I was slaving over medicaid logs during the first real week of vacation! grrrr). It's been a great week! I've accomplished so much (gym, lots of netflix, and have finished quite a few projects!) and I'm linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching to re-cap my week!
This has been a very, very GROOVY week! I completed my 1960's themed materials.
On Monday, I posted about Peace, Speech, and Chicken Grease: Expressive Language. You can check it out HERE. I also created materials for receptive language (coming soon!) and articulation. My students are going to love this next year! On Monday, I will be hosting a very groovy giveaway!
I've been glued to the television watching the World Cup! I love sports and especially MAJOR events like the Olympics/World Cup/etc. Here's a #selfie.
*chants* I believe that we will win!!!
I celebrated Wild About Books Wednesday by making a FREE book companion! Book companions are my favorite! This companion was designed to go with Flora and the Flamingo by Molly Idle. Although, I designed it with speech/language therapy in mind I definitely think it can be useful in the regular education classroom. Click HERE to see the post and snag the freebie.
What's summer break without a little netflix?! I'm mad late, but I just discovered Friday Night Lights. I'm almost done with season one..... I won't say how many days this has taken. ;)
I've also picked up my first summer read! Major Pettigrew's Last Stand by Helen Simonson. It's been on my to-read list for years and luckily I snagged it for just a few bucks in a bargain bin!
Have a wonderful weekend! I'm stopping back in Sunday to kick off National Camping Week!

  1. Love summer for Netflix too! We've been making our way through The Sopranos lately. Loving it! Haven't watched really any of the World Cup but totally hoping the US wins too!

    1. I LOVE The Sopranos! If you're watching on HBOGO I would also recommend The Wire. My fav show ever!

  2. I love Netflix and my hubby had the boys over to watch the US game. They were all decked out in their gear too; painted faces, painted hair and even brought mini flags to wave. They were so obnoxious but had a ton of fun. Hope you have many more "official" weeks of summer.
