Give Speech a Chance! (Plus Groovy Giveaway)

Last Monday, I introduced my new themed materials: Peace, Speech, and Chicken Grease! I'm super excited about this little unit, because it's so darn cute and cool. Enter the raffle below for FIVE chances to win three groovy packets!

Today I'm going to review the receptive language packet!
You can find this in my TPT store by clicking HERE.

Groovy WH ?s: This packet contains 36 cards that pose WH questions (who, what, when, where, why, and how) and 6 special cards. Students draw a card and answer the question. If they are correct they get to keep the card and if they find peace in a pod they get an extra turn!
Peace Sign Riddles: Student draws a card and reads (or SLP reads) the riddle. If they can figure out what is being described they get to keep the card. If they find Jimi's guitar they get an extra turn! Of course, Jimi being Jimi Hendrix haha
Groovy Temporal Directions: Students will love taking directions from these darling little hippies! Student draws a card and follows the direction! Watch out, you don't want your groovy van to get a flat tire!
What doesn't belong?!: SLP reads a list of three items and student must determine what doesn't belong! If student finds a peace out card, they lose one card! Student with the most cards wins. Every year I have new kindergarten students that struggle with this skill... so this little game is for them!
Don't forget to enter the raffle below! If you win you will receive the receptive language packet, the expressive language packet, and the articulation packet. Click the links to preview them!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a groovy Monday!

  5. Really cute. When I was a little girl I drew peace signs all over my blue, cloth binder. It takes me back to the 60s and 70s!
